Brother Alvin W. McAdory Jr. in Action

“Becoming a Mason helped me pursue my passions like never before.”

When Brother Alvin W. McAdory Jr. was a child, he dreamed of being a pilot. This past year, his dream started to become a reality.

Brother McAdory was working for Envoy Airlines as a Fleet Service Clerk when he applied to the American Airlines Cadet Academy. He was soon accepted and began his journey to becoming a commercial airline pilot.

In March 2023, Brother McAdory started flight training at CAE Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona after driving 4 days and 3 nights to get there. He will complete his training this coming spring with a private pilot certificate, instrument rating certificate, commercial multi-engine and single-engine certificates, and a certified flight instructor certificate.

In addition to his flight training, Brother McAdory is also a full-time student. When he’s not studying, he’s pursuing his Masonic journey and visiting several Blue Lodges across Arizona, as well as the Scottish Rite Valley of Phoenix and an Arizona chapter of El Zaribah Shriners.

“Flying privately, corporately, and commercially across the United States, and the world is what I plan to do. Eventually, after working for regional, and mainline carriers I want to open my own flight school and write a flight program.”

Brother McAdory is passionate about flight, but also about sharing his learnings. He plans on traveling and teaching on the go and making aviation resources available to his friends, family, neighbors, community, church, and Brethren.

“As a child, we dream of our adulthood and I am living the dream, my Brother.”
