The Society Of King Solomon Charitable Giving Program

Supporting Our Illinois Freemasonry Family And Community

The Society of King Solomon (SOKS) is a charitable giving program of Illinois Freemasonry. It was created by Most Worshipful Brother Howard Graff, Honorary Past Grand Master and launched in 2005. The program provides Illinois Freemasons with an opportunity to outwardly show their pride for financially supporting the exceptional work done by the Illinois Masonic Charities. We encourage you to become a member of the SOKS.

The SOKS provides an easy and simple way for our members to quietly, yet proudly provide funding support to our six Illinois Masonic Charities programs:

Recognition Of SOKS Members — Jewel And Conversation Starter

Members of the SOKS receive a unique jewel that is proudly worn on the jacket breast pocket and a companion lapel pin.

  • Associate Members receive the lapel pin only and the jewel is provided upon becoming a Full Member.

  • The unique SOKS jewel and lapel pin provide opportunities for our members to have conversations with Illinois Freemasons about the exceptional work done by our Illinois Masonic Charities programs and the pride felt in financially supporting them.

  • SOKS members are encouraged to wear the jewel at all Illinois Freemasonry events and activities, as appropriate.

The SOKS jewel is accompanied with a ribbon which recognizes the cumulative giving amount of Full Members as follows:

  • Gold — Donations of $100,000 or greater

  • White — Donations of $5,000 to $99,999

  • Red — Donations of $2,500 to $4,999

  • Blue — Donations of $1,000 to $2,499

  • Full Members are encouraged to provide ongoing donations which are greatly appreciated and recognized by the opportunity to receive the Red, White or Gold SOKS jewels.
