BROTHER RICHARD “VAN” VANDERHOEF

by ArticlePosts on Friday, February 25, 2011 10:44 PM

Right Worshipful Brother Richard “Van” Vanderhoef serves our Grand Lodge as the Chairman of the Masonic Service Association (MSA) Field Representatives. In that capacity he oversees the visitations of Masonic Representatives to all of the Veterans Hospitals throughout Illinois.

Brother Vanderhoef took over a very important program of our Grand Lodge that had little or no direction. He has worked tirelessly to make sure that all of our Veterans whether Masons or not are visited and are not lacking in any manner.

His organizational skills and “go get em” attitude have turned this into a fine oiled machine and our veterans are being rewarded because of his efforts. The Masons of Illinois are being represented at each of the Hospitals and at a few of the satellite facilities as well.

District Schools have resumed.

by ArticlePosts on Friday, February 25, 2011 10:33 PM

We are pleased to report that after a long absence followed by several weeks of planning, regular District Schools have resumed in the 3rd Northeastern District. These new schools of instruction are held at Glenview Masonic Temple, 1450 Lehigh Avenue, on the 4th Monday of every month between 7:00 and 9:00 PM. The next scheduled school is November 22nd. Also, since the 4th Monday is December is the 27th, which is between Christmas and New Year’s Day, there is a good chance it will be called off for that date and resume in January. But November 22nd is on, so plan to attend and to support the schools throughout this season. For more information about these new schools, please email RW Bro. Doug Hofbauer at doctord@compuserve.com
